These are ceramic hybrid bearings which combine ceramic balls with stainless steel races and a nylon retainer cage. They are more corrosion resistant than chromium steel ceramic hybrid bearings and the nylon retainer cage allows the bearing to be fully stripped for cleaning and re-greasing.

The 6805N size is 1 mm narrower than standard 6805 bearings. This size is used almost exclusively in the bike industry and only for bottom brackets. These bearings fit Compagnolo Ultratorque, some FSA road BB's and almost all Shimano HT2 bottom brackets for mountain and road, including external threaded and internal press-fit models. When fitted to a Shimano or FSA BB you will re-use the original plastic caps.
