Customer Service & Admin

Shockcraft is NZ's leading MTB suspension company, based outside Alexandra.  We provide products and services locally, throughout New Zealand and worldwide.  Shockcraft has an opening for an admin position.

Job Description

-  Customer service (email/phone/website/face to face)
-  Order processing and shipment
-  Stores duties, including stock takes and receipt of supplier orders
-  Promotion, including Instagram and newsletters
-  Accounts, invoicing and data entry
-  And much much more

Applicant must be:

-  An active mountainbike rider
-  A clear and open communicator
-  Customer focussed
-  A motivated learner
-  Have office level computer skills
-  Have very high standards of care and accuracy
-  Physically fit and active
-  Safety conscious, able to follow written instructions and work independently
-  Able to drive manual vehicles and have a valid New Zealand driver's licence

Additional desirable skills: photography, graphic design, working with spreadsheets, accounting software, ecommerce software/web development.


Hours & Location of Work

Work will be full-time (5 days, approx. 30 hours per week).  Can fit around school/child commitments.

Shockcraft and Engen are located 10 km (biking distance) outside Alexandra, Central Otago, New Zealand.  Our offices are brand new and fully air conditioned.

Mountain Bike Suspension Technician

This is a fixed term contract position from Spring 2017 to Autumn 2018 and would suit a mechanic who follows the northern hemisphere race season during our winter.

Main duties will be service & repair of mountain bike forks and rear shocks but will range from mechanical service/tuning to light engineering, stores and general duties.

Job Description

-  Service of suspension forks and shocks (training provided)
-  Testing of mountain bike parts
-  Processing, packing and shipment of orders
-  Assembly of machinery
-  General errands

Applicant must be:

-  A natural and talented mechanic
-  An active troubleshooter & motivated learner
-  Physically fit and active
-  An active mountainbike rider
-  Computer literate
-  Have very high standards of care and accuracy
-  A clear and open communicator
-  Safety conscious, able to follow written instructions and work independently
-  Able to drive manual vehicles and have a valid New Zealand driver's licence

Additional desirable skills: metalwork/engineering (turning, milling and welding etc)


Hours & Location of Work

Work will be full-time (5 days, 30 hours plus per week), except for Christmas & New Year shutdown.
