Faux Flo Micro Brain Seal Kit

Shockcraft's complete seal kit to fit Specialized-Fox Micro Brain rear shocks from 2011-17.
The seal kit contains air can seals and damper seals for a full rebuild including green travel check o-ring.  PDF showing contents of kit is available here.

Choose either Slickoleum grease or RWC air chamber lube (same as Fox FLOAT fluid).  At Shockcraft we only use Slickoleum in air can service of these shocks.

Installation Notes
This kit requires a well equipped suspension workshop to install.  You will need picks, shaft clamps and ideally a vacuum bleeder.
Depressurise shock and remove hose retainer clips from one end (both ends to access both hose seals),  Strip and clean entire damper and air-can.  Reinstall with air-can and travel check onto hose before reconnecting and vacuum bleeding.

Fox  uses 1 cc of the lube oil in the shock negative chamber, 1.5 cc in the positive chamber.  On bikes with the shock vertical this oil all ends up in the negative chamber.  On bikes with the shock inverted this all ends up in your shock pump.  Shockcraft recommend Slickoleum grease instead.

Faux IFP Valve Stem Kit

This kit allows DIY service of Fox rear shocks from 2000 to current (including Specialized-Fox Brain Shocks) by replacing the rubber pellet IFP valve with a compact schrader valve.  The BRAIN kit uses a different o-ring and valve core to the FLOAT kit.

IFP Rubber Pellet
This is a straight replacement for the stock IFP valve and requires a pressurised hypodermic needle to charge with gas.

Instructions
Fit o-ring onto stem and lightly grease with Slickoleum.
Max install torque 2 Nm (screw-driver tight) using a 5 mm hex key (allen key).
Install valve core.
Inflate IFP to desired pressure (usually 300psi for this shock) and install cap.

Note valve stem needs removed for air-can service.
Check frame clearance carefully before riding, you may need to reorientate some shocks.

IFP Pressures:
Shockcraft recommended IFP depth and pressure is 34mm down and 300psi.

Tools required:
Clamp Blocks
seal picks for releasing wire clips.
Hex keys
Valve core tool
300 psi shock pump
etc etc
