High performance damper oils in a range of viscosities. Can be used in suspension forks with enclosed (cartridge) dampers, rear shock absorbers, dropper seat posts, hydraulic remotes and mineral oil brake systems.
Damper oils are formulated for consistent damping at high temperatures. They do not lubricate or release air as well as fork oils. For open bath fork applications consider Fork Oil. For low volume lubrication (i.e. fork lower leg bushings) consider Lube Oil.
Available in 250 ml bottles to make home servicing easy and cost effective.
We are only able to ship up to 250 cc of oil to international addresses.
Most shock dampers (and enclosed fork cartridge dampers) are designed for oil viscosity (thickness) of 15 cSt at 40°C. Fox and X-fusion are the exceptions who for a long time used 32 cSt oils but have recently changed to 15 cSt like everyone else.
Motorex 2.5wt (15 cSt @ 40°C) is the standard option.
Motorex 5wt (22 cSt @ 40°C) is the thicker option for more damping.
Hot Oil Pink (14 cSt @ 40°C) is the high temperature option. Use this if you find the suspension speeds up a lot under hard use.
Hot Oil Green (18 cSt @ 40°C) is the option for more damping and higher temperatures.
Motorex 7.5wt (35 cSt @ 40°C) works very well in all Fox or X-fusion forks and shocks designed around Fox 7wt or 10wt oil.
Motorex 10wt (50 cSt @ 40°C) is the thicker option for more damping in those same forks/shocks.
Motorex 5wt (22 cSt @ 40°C) is the thinner option for faster response and/or lighter riders.
Motorex Corex 10 (10 cSt @ 40°C) is the thinner option for faster response and/or lighter riders where damper modifications aren't practical.
Motorex Corex 5 (5 cSt @ 40°C) is the super thin option for faster response and/or lighter riders where damper modifications aren't practical.
Water (1 cSt @ 20°C) is for reference only. Do not use it in your forks, shocks, dropper posts etc
For Fox forks/shocks using newer 5wt R2, R3 and R3 Teflon refer to the 15 cSt oils above.
Specialized AFR shocks refer X-fusion above.
